Concordia

Overview

Named after the Concordia University, the charming  Concordia neighborhood is home to a thriving arts scene, numerous destination dining spots and a large population of artists and academics.  The Alberta Arts District’s monthly Last Thursday art walk is Concordia’s main attraction and one of Portland’s most popular and vibrant cultural events. The famed McMenamins Kennedy School can also be found in this area, and draws hundreds of locals and tourists with 35 guest rooms, a movie theater, enormous soaking pool, brew pub and more.

Parks & Recreation

In addition to the remarkable shopping and dining options available in the Concordia neighborhood, residents enjoy easy access to the 27 acre Fernhill day park and family friendly Kennedy Community Garden.

Real Estate

The historic Concordia neighborhood has an abundance of beautiful old Foursquare, Craftsman and Bungalow style homes, many of them lovingly refurbished.  New construction of Condos and Townhomes can also be found in this area, particularly surrounding the recently revitalized Alberta Street.
