Humboldt

Overview

Extending beyond the young, ultra-hip Mississippi Street area in Northeast Portland, the Humboldt neighborhood has seen a lot of development in recent years and is one of the city’s hottest up-and-coming areas for young artists, families and professionals alike.

Humboldt has enjoyed a long and rich cultural history, and today is considered among the most vibrant of Portland’s close-in neighborhoods.

Parks & Recreation

The intimate Sumner-Albina Park offers residents a place to relax and take in some great people watching, while the Patton Community Garden encourages kids of all ages to get involved in their community by getting their hands dirty. The Albina branch library on Northeast 15th Avenue has been operating in various locations since 1906 and hosts a variety of year-round enrichment classes for children and adults.

Real Estate

From modest Cottages and Townhomes to grand Old Portland styles, Humboldt area homes are as diverse as its residents.  Prices in this area are still very reasonable considering the popularity of the neighborhood, and many older homes have been recently renovated to reflect the interests of the changing population.

"Working with Paul Johnson in purchasing our first home was a wonderful experience. His attention to detail and willingness to explain and lead us through all aspects of the home buying process made our first purchase a fantastic experience."
