Overview
A rich and diverse cultural heritage, excellent restaurants, convenient access to shopping and affordable properties all mark the Foster-Powell neighborhood as a great place to settle down. Thanks to efforts by residents and city revitalization programs, this area has experienced a great deal of positive growth in recent years.
This small, triangular neighborhood is tucked between the Lents and Creston areas in the Southeast section of the city, and shares many of the same qualities that make those neighborhoods so popular with young families and first-time homebuyers.
Parks & Recreation
Mt. Scott Park and Essex Park are the two lovely day parks serving the Foster-Powell community. Take a stroll through the trees in either park and enjoy the community atmosphere, ball fields, abundant picnic areas and lighted tennis courts. The Y Arts Center is also located in the Foster-Powell neighborhood and offers a variety of arts and crafts classes to families and adults at affordable rates.
Real Estate
The Foster-Powell neighborhood is home to many architectural styles. Many of the homes in this neighborhood have been renovated and include Bungalow, Craftsman and mid-century designs in addition to several newly built Condos and Townhouses.
