Collins View

Overview

Just past the urban bustle of the city, and not quite part of the suburban sprawl, the Southwest Portland Collins View neighborhood boasts a number of unique attributes, including one of the country’s most celebrated private colleges, and the 800+ acre Tryon Creek State Natural Area.

Collins View is considered one of the most desirable of Portland’s sought after Southwest hills neighborhoods- all well known for their remote feel, lovely estates, impressive views and easy access to downtown.

Parks & Recreation

With over 800 acres of natural forest bisected by groomed multi-use trails, Tryon Creek State Natural Area is among the city’s top destination recreational areas. School tours, summer camps, guided nature walks and special events reservations are also available here, at the only U.S. State Park to be found within a major metropolitan area.

Real Estate

Most of the Collins View neighborhood homes were constructed after the turn of the century.  These are typically expansive, well-kept and situated on large lots surrounded by old-growth trees, while some new construction can be found in the form of Townhomes and split-level structures.
